1. Working principle of metal rotor flowmeter
The structure of a metal rotor flowmeter consists of two main parts: one is a conical tube that gradually expands from the bottom, and the other is a rotor with a freely movable centerline. When measuring fluid flow rate, the flow defect modifier flows in from the bottom of the conical tube, generating an impact force on the rotor. The magnitude of this force increases with the increase of flow rate. When the flow is large enough, this signal sensitivity is strong enough to lift the rotor and make it rise. At the same time, the fluid flows out from the top through the annular section between the rotor and the conical tube wall. When the force exerted by the fluid on the rotor reaches equilibrium with the weight of the rotor in the fluid (i.e., the displayed weight), the rotor stays at a certain height. In this case, there is a direct relationship between the position and height of the rotor in the conical tube and the flow rate. By observing the height of the rotor, we can calculate the corresponding flow rate value. In order to ensure that the rotor does not touch the pipe wall when moving up and down on the centerline, the Zhongneng metal rotor flowmeter adopts two strategies. The first type is equipped with a guiding core rod, which maintains the movement of the rotor along the centerline of the conical tube. Another method is to design inclined slots at the edge of the rotor disk. When the fluid flows from bottom to top, it will bypass the rotor and generate reverse thrust through the inclined slots, causing the rotor to continue rotating near the centerline and avoiding collision with the pipe wall. The materials used to make rotors usually include various mat

2. The difference between metal rotor flowmeter and elliptical gear flowmeter
The structure is different (as shown in the figure) (elliptical gear flowmeter) (Changzhou rotor flowmeter) The working principle is different:
(1) The elliptical gear flowmeter is composed of a measuring box and a pair of elliptical gears installed inside the measuring box, forming a sealed crescent shaped cavity with upper and lower cover plates (not absolutely sealed due to the rotation of the gears) as the unit for calculating the displacement.
. When the measured liquid enters the flowmeter through the pipeline, the pressure difference generated at the inlet and outlet drives a pair of gears to rotate continuously, continuously delivering the liquid measured by the initial lunar cavity to the outlet. The product of the number of revolutions of the elliptical gear and four times the displacement per time is the total flow rate of the measured liquid (see principle diagram). The flowmeter is mainly composed of a housing, a counter, an elliptical gear, and a coupling (divided into magnetic coupling and axial coupling).(2) The main measuring components of the rotor flowmeter are a vertically installed lower small and upper large conical glass tube and a float that can move up and down inside. When the fluid passes through the conical glass tube from bottom to top, a pressure difference is generated between the upper and lower states of the float, and the float rises under this pressure difference. When the upward force, buoyancy, and viscous lift acting on the float are equal to its gravity, the floa
